Enchanted Gardens homeowners, residing in Eureka, said discussions between the landlord and city hall regarding a new master water meter and water meters were not addressing their concerns. Information given to them from the landlord, city hall, and what was reported in local newspapers were at the least, conflicting.
Homeowners than met with the manager, attended City Hall meetings, and contacted MHOAI. The Mayor than organized a meeting with herself, a MHOAI representative, two homeowners and two city officials. While litigations continue with the landlord and city, the homeowners' issues were addressed, and they received a written response from city hall.
The response was read and addressed during a homeowners' meeting and homeowners agreed their needs were now being addressed by City Hall. Also attending this meeting was David McBride (Labors International Union of North America), Marty Clinch (Electrical Workers Union), and MHOAI representatives. Homeowners were reminded that their combined efforts resulted in this response from their local government. Homeowners need to register and vote for officials that will represent their best interests in their area.
