Residents meet with Senators, Reps

Approximately 200 residents from six manufactured home communities attended a meeting hosted by Golf Vista, Monee. Senators Halvorson (D-Dist.40), Maggie Crotty (D-Dist.19), and Representative Novak (D-Dist.78) heard homeowner complaints from residents of these communities.

One representative from each of the six communities was given five minutes each to present their concerns. They mostly discussed rent and the rights of manufactured home residents. Terry Nelson, MHOAI, also discussed legislation introduced in Springfield and talked about future legislation that needs to be presented to our legislators.

We commend golf Vista residents for organizing this meeting that also included residents fro River Oaks, Maple Brook, Maple Valley/Maple Ridge and Oak Ridge.
