Separate Water Billing

In some communities, homeowners are receiving notices that if they are late on water bills it will be deducted from their rent payment. If you receive a notice saying that money for other fees will be now be deducted from rent money, you must write a dated letter back as soon as possible, stating that your rent money is only for rent, and water payments only for water.

If not, their records could be used in future court appearances stating that you were late on your rent payment.  Then keep a copy for yourself and let a MHOAI director know.  If you need help with the wording of a letter, contact a MHOAI director.
