What has MHOAI Done Lately?

• Organized the 2nd annual Manufactured Homeowners Day in Springfield
• Has directors on State Committees.
• Worked with legislators to stop a proposed Privilege Tax increase.
• Stopped a tax collection bill in the Senate, then worked with officials for a balanced tax collection law with your needs and interests included.
• Worked to get an SAA in Illinois this year to aid with homeowner issues.
• Attended many hearings at state and local levels representing your interests.
• Worked to get a review board, and to get installation laws passed that include a self-generated state fund to provide additional state inspectors for manufactured housing.
• Worked with homeowners daily answering your telephone calls, letters, e-mails and organizing meetings in our communities.
• Researched and worked for future legislation, such as service justification of our rent money and first right of refusal.
• Represented you on a National Homeowners Association board.
• Help organize local associations and work with backdoor community issues.
• Sends a quarterly publication keeping you informed on issues that you cannot receive elsewhere.
