This would allow the state to form a dispute board that homeowners could bring issues to when the landlord does not work with them.  It is a great tool that other states use to help resolve problems.  If the bill does not make it out of committee on the 15th, it will be laid to rest until next year.

We want to thank everyone who took the time to call and write the Rules Committee allowing for this bill to get a hearing. Now on to the next important step. The Executive House Committee is not new to our issues and knows from past history that we can get the calls to them.  What we need at this hearing is people, as many of you that can attend the hearing as possible.  Representative Lisa Dugan and Terry Nelson have been working hard to get this passed.  You can not be surprised that the landlord organizations opposing this bill are telling committee members it is not needed, most landlords work well with homeowners in their communities and there are only a few bad apples out there.

Terry Nelson will be there at 9:00 to help everyone to fill out the slips and any other guidance needed.  We want to thank you in advance for your time and support.
