IDPH Director Retires

Pat Metz has retired after 25 years with the Illinois Department of Public Health. Metz has spent countless hours discussing issues with homeowners and testifying on our behalf during hearings. He also worked with MHOAI and homeowners to help keep communities up to state code.

Homeowners in attendance at our Manufactured Home Owners Day in Springfield also know he has addressed issues during our meetings and drove many miles to speak with and investigate landlords. His letter-writing efforts on behalf of homeowners have also been effective. Metz wrote articles addressing homeowners issues for our newsletter helping many of us understand and know our rights.

John Reilly will now take Metz's place at the Illinois Department of Public Health. Many of you already met or spoke with Reilly while he worked with Metz at the Department. MHOAI looks forward to our continued relationship with the IDPH under Reilly's leadership.
