State Administrative Agency Formed

MHOAI worked with the Illinois Department of Public Health to receive funding that allowed the State of Illinois to set up this agency.  On March 12 of this year the State Administrative Agency was approved by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

The Department's responsibilities will include registering complaints for the construction of manufactured homes, random inspection of dealer lots and possible site inspections, if deemed necessary, of manufactured homes that are imported into Illinois for which the Department receives complaints.

This program will benefit Illinois residents regarding problems consumers have with the construction and/or setup of manufactured homes.  If you have questions or need to file a complaint, contact a MHOAI director and/or:
